Still, I think they are becoming the next EA. _________________ Meh |

i dunno. i mean, i was one of the first people to say that, becuase i feel some of their business practices and public relations are equally as slimy as EA's.
but i'm no longer sure it's fitting. EA is HUGE. stardock's not going to approach their size anytime soon. or ever. EA is cross platform, and they have their hands in almost every genre. SD is PC exclusively, and they're only making small inroads into other genres (do they even sell any first person shooters on impulse?).
Brad is more like Ross Perot. he's rich, utterly fucking crazy, and he thinks he has a chance of taking on the big boys. i can only hope he'll end up like Ross Perot - more of a modern-historical joke than anyone remembered for being a mover and shaker. _________________ Don't worry. Looks like there's another update for TA, available on Impulse. It appears SD is gonna update GC2 much like they have been updating DG...piece by piece. Nothing wrong with that, IMO. At least they're showing that they do still care a bit about the game, even though its days of major importance have long passed.
Now all that's left is for them to finish-off the v1.2 update for DG. _________________ Known as Prospero of Caliban in Evony

I see no update on Impulse, nor anything about it on forums. _________________

Well, considering I just updated it an hour ago, I'm not sure why you don't see any updates on Impulse.
Meh...idk, maybe it auto-updated for ya? _________________ Known as Prospero of Caliban in Evony

I'm positive I updated the first patch that came out...heck, I'm the one who posted about it here in the Lounge when I first saw it. I don't know why none of you guys see any new updates, but I definitely had another update ready and waiting for me when I opened-up Impulse yesterday.
The only curious thing that I saw when I was updating yesterday was that there was no new entry in the "View History" part of this update...it just had the same bit of info that the last update had.
Maybe Impulse glitched and just had me install the same update twice? _________________ Known as Prospero of Caliban in Evony

oh, i stopped by cuz there's a sale at the EA store. i was gonna pick up dragon age awakenings, but if i get 2 more titles it's 30% off the purchase (10% off one title, 20% off 2, or 30% off 3).
any suggestions? _________________ Don't worry. I don't have low self-esteem. It's a mistake. I have low esteem for everyone else." --Daria |
